Ok now I am worried

I just spent 30 minutes looking through the new Ikea catalog.

I think I just spent about 1000.00 in my mind on what I wanted to get.

This might not be a good thing. But I have totally redecorated my house. I am going to start in my bedroom.

Ikea Is coming to town.

Ok there is a Big Work/Life bitch post coming up soon, but this one is not it.

So Ikea finally made it to Dallas/Ft Worth.

I for one am very happy about this. Although the news coverage tells me that some people are a little off the wall. There is one person that is sitting out there right now so she can be the first customer. The First customer gets a 2500.00 shopping spree. Now... I have to wonder WHAT it would take to make me sit out in front of a store for a week before it opens. And I have to tell you that 2500.00 is NOT enough.

I guess if I had NO life, and NO children, and NO Job, Oh... And NO FRIENDS!

To each there own, but NOTHING is worth me sitting out in front of something for a couple of weeks to get stuff for free.  I just don't see the point in it. I feel the same way about the Freaks that sat out for Star wars tickets. I saw them on opening day, and guess what I did not Nerd out and sit at a fucking movie theater for 2 weeks before hand. In fact I run in a Circle of Geeks, and None  of us sat out.

So the only thing that I can think of is that they are attention Whores.. Want to get there 5 min of fame.  Ok I think I need to stop there. Oh wait. the chick that is sitting out there right now? She was on the news. On the Preview her quote was "I want to get the $2500.00" and in the actual story... She got to say NOTHING. I loved it. "Hey LADY! Your 5 minutes lasted about 10 seconds.. Thank you, Drive Through"

I am indeed really excited about this opening. No I do not need a damn thing in my house. But I want to go look at what they have, As most people in Dfw are thinking.  That is my .02

Shitty Weekend

Ever had a weekend where at 3pm on Sunday you were actually WISHING it was Monday so you could go back to work.

Don't get me wrong I got a lot done, Mowed (back), Cleaned out the Garage, set up the 55 Gallon tank. Cleaned (helped bri) bri's room, rode bikes,  went running Cleaned my closet (again),  cleaned my bathroom. But it just sucked. I was ready to come back to work.

I know what the reason was, this was the first weekend that I have not spent with Nikki in over a year, So not getting to see her when I normally would through off my balance so to speak.

So Sunday night got here I went to bed really early wanting it to be Monday. And now I am sitting at my desk flooded with work thinking to my self......

"Is it 6 yet?"

I guess since I am killing time before I start on my next project I will go into detail on what I did this weekend in the read more link.. Like you people really care.

Electronic Hallmark

I got an email today that I almost tossed out. (Thought it was spam) It was an E-card from an old customer that I used to do
computer work for. "Happy 4th of July to you, your Wife, and your daughter"

I think that sending an E-Card is the worst way to reach out. First off you can not respond to it with out looking up the email address of the person. On all the ones that I get if you hit reply it will go to the websites email.  Secondly you could just take the time to pop out an email directly to the person and if you really want to go all out. Send them an Html Email. Not an Ecard.

I totally hate Ecards. I normally don't look at them, as most of them get tossed to spam anyway. I would rather get a 2 line email from someone saying "Hey Thinking about you, Happy 4th!"

Also you really should not wish anyone other than "you and your's" you never know what changed since the last time we talked 4 years ago. I might have gotten a divorce, and I might have a new girlfriend, who might have a daughter, that Might be part of the thinking of list.  So unless you know someone and keep up with them, then DON'T use names.

Also in my case, you want to impress me? Mail me something. Email is the most impersonal way of communication. You want me to have a smile on my face as I open your card? It will not be waiting for the page to load. The smile comes when I first rip open the envelope.
